Since November 2020, the ecoinvent association has been an institutional member of Rede ACV, the Brazilian Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) business network. Within this partnership, ecoinvent supports Rede ACV’s efforts towards improving the availability and interoperability of LCA data in Brazil and, more generally, in promoting life cycle thinking in the country. This engagement strengthens the association’s connection to the vibrant LCA community in Brazil, allowing ecoinvent to fulfill its mission to promote the availability of high-quality data for environmental assessments worldwide further.
Rede Empresarial Brasileira de Avaliação de Ciclo de Vida (Rede ACV) was launched in 2013 to promote LCA in the Brazilian business community, for public policy, and towards consumers. In a genuinely cooperative setting, Rede ACV gathers and engages with national and international actors on the development and application of LCA in Brazil to establish good practices for using LCA in the national business context. Its activities include supporting the national LCI database initiative, offering training, raising awareness on critical concepts of LCA, and targeting various stakeholder groups.
