ecoinvent version 3.12 added more than nine hundred new datasets in the chemicals and plastics sector, significantly strengthening regional and product coverage across key supply chains.

These updates strengthen value chain representation, improve dataset visibility and modeling flexibility, and enhance consistency across the database by enabling more accurate linking to the ecoinvent background system.

Learn the details today with our sector expert and Database Content Lead, Iasonas Ioannou.

In this webinar recording, we highlight our:

  • Improved regional representation of key precursors, such as light olefins (ethylene and propylene), methanol, vinyl chloride monomer, and their derivatives.
  • 6% increase in the number of products covered in version 3.12 compared with version 3.11, reflected in our additional Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) number entries.
  • New generic data for major organic product groups, supporting the closure of data gaps through relevant proxy flows.

Watch to the end to discover which products our live audience asked to see in the future of the ecoinvent database. If you have any questions afterwards, be sure to contact us.
