The SRI Program (Phase 1)

The Sustainability Rating and Impact (SRI) Program aims to develop a standard and transparent methodology for assessing the sustainability of products and services based on life cycle thinking.

From 2014 to 2018, ecoinvent is proud to have partnered with Empa and WRF for the first phase of the Sustainable Recycling Industries (SRI) program. SRI is an initiative funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

The Sustainable Recycling Industries (SRI) program is funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The first phase of SRI was jointly implemented by ecoinvent, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa), and the World Resources Forum (WRF) in 2014-2018 through three interconnected components. Each component was coordinated by a competence center: Life Cycle Inventories (SRI-LCI) by ecoinvent, Recycling Initiatives by Empa, and Global Roundtable by WRF.
